UW CZP is part of the 3rd Psychiatric Clinic of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw. The task of the Center is to provide services to people over 18 years of age with mental disorders living in the area of ​​CZP (i.e. Ursynów, Wilanów). systemic and comprehensive psychiatric care.

The Mental Health Center does not provide health care services in the field of addiction treatment in stationary, day and outpatient settings. These scopes are implemented by separate units.

The Reporting and Coordination Point in the Ursynów district is the place of first contact with the UW CZP for residents of Ursynów. The Reporting and Coordination Point in the Wilanów district is the first point of contact with UW CZP for the residents of Wilanów.   • The Reporting and Coordination Point is the place where a patient reports for help in the field of psychiatric care.
  • No referral to the PZK is required.
  • At PZK, it is possible to obtain psychological advice, diagnosis of the problem, and indication of an institution offering specific assistance (e.g., setting the date of the first visit to the Mental Health Clinic).
  • People who are already receiving assistance, i.e. patients of the Mental Health Clinic (PZP) of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology or other units operating under an agreement with the National Health Fund, will be treated under the existing rules.
  • Counseling at PZK does not include the treatment of addictions, neurotic disorders and cognitive disorders (dementia, dementia, Alzheimer's disease),
  • By contacting the PZK, it will be possible to establish a plan for further care.

The tasks of the PZK include:

  • providing information about the scope of CZP activities and the possibility of obtaining health care services
    in CZP,
  • conducting a preliminary assessment of the health needs of people reporting to the PZK, agreeing on a preliminary psychiatric and therapeutic plan,
  • agreeing on the date of admission and indicating the place of obtaining the necessary psychiatric services, in urgent cases no later than 72 hours from notification,
  • in cases where it is required, indication of the place of obtaining the necessary social assistance benefit,

The tasks of the Mental Health Clinic (PZP) include:

  • implementation of advice, home or community visits and psychotherapy sessions.

PZP benefits provided by:

  • psychiatrist: no referral required,
  • psychologist / psychotherapist: a referral from any health insurance doctor is required.

The Ursynów-Wilanów Day Center runs a therapeutic and diagnostic program for patients with various mental disorders, with particular emphasis on:

  1. depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety-depressive disorders
  2. schizophrenia, schizophrenia-type disorders and delusional disorders
  3. organic and neurodevelopmental mental disorders.

Rules for admitting patients to the department:

A referral from a health insurance doctor is required to the Psychiatric Day Department.

Patients referred to the department undergo qualifications from a specialist doctor in the department.

Program description:

Duration of therapy: agreed individually with the attending physician, approximately lasts from 2 to 12 weeks

Groups: open

Group size: up to 12 people

The primary goal of therapy carried out within the department is to improve the mental condition of patients: reducing the severity of symptoms and improving functioning in various life roles.

Daily team meetings enable the therapeutic plan to be adjusted to the patient's current needs and capabilities.

  1. Medical impacts:
  • adjustment of pharmacological treatment based on daily observation of the patient over a long period of time
  • modification of pharmacological treatment to prevent hospitalizations in 24-hour wards
  • adapting pharmacological treatment in situations of changes in mental state
  • examination of the patient's somatic condition complementing comprehensive diagnostics
  • recommendations for care by other medical specialists

  • relaxation training
  • cognitive function training
  • social skills training
  • metacognitive training
  • integration activities
  • behavioral activation

  • obtaining social support
  • supporting the disease acceptance process
  • identification of sources of current problems and their impact on the course of the disease
  • supporting the taking up of social roles
  • developing assertive communication skills
  • improving cognitive functioning
  • developing healthy habits regarding eating, sleeping and physical activity
  • supporting creativity, developing new, creative coping strategies
  • gaining knowledge about the disease, risk factors for recurrence, and early warning symptoms
  • improving cooperation in the field of pharmacotherapy
  • counteracting the feeling of stigmatization and social exclusion.

If there are indications to expand diagnostics, the department may perform psychological tests, laboratory tests, imaging tests and neurophysiological tests.

IN THE FIELD OF COMMUNITY (HOME) TREATMENT

The Community Treatment Team works from Monday to Friday, except for public holidays. Most services are provided at the patient's place of residence or at ul. Goplańska 35.

A psychiatrist qualifies for the services provided by the Community Treatment Team.

STATIONARY

Psychiatric Wards F-5 and F-6 of the 3rd Psychiatric Clinic of the IPiN, open 24 hours a day.
