Ultrasound machine with Duplex option
Purchase value: PLN 248,000.00
Funding amount: PLN 246,834.40
Brief description of the equipment:
The device is used to perform ultrasound examinations in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the vascular system. The examination performed using a duplex ultrasound device is non-invasive, painless and reliable. It involves imaging the arteries leading blood to the brain, assessing their course, the width of the vessels, the thickness of individual layers and the presence of atherosclerotic plaques or narrowing of the lumen of the vessels. In addition, blood flow values and hemodynamic properties, i.e. the ability of the vessel to contract, are assessed. The test result provides a lot of information about the patient's health condition, especially the degree of advancement of the atherosclerotic process, assessment of the risk of heart attacks and strokes, and qualifications for appropriate treatment. The new ultrasound replaced one of the worn-out machines in the 1st Neurological Clinic.

The implementation of the above goal will be influenced by achieving the direct goal of the project, which is: improving the quality and effectiveness of services provided by IPiN in Warsaw.
The subject of the project is to extend the completed investment "Reconstruction of existing psychiatric clinics - Stage I" to include the reconstruction of wards F9 in the 3rd Psychiatric Clinic and F10 in the 1st Psychiatric Clinic - building F1' (which were not included in the first stage of the project). At the same time, it is planned to purchase medical equipment and equipment for all rebuilt buildings, both in Stage I and II. investment (F1, F2, F3, F4) and for the F1' building, which is planned to be implemented in Stage II.
The works planned in the F1′ building will also include (following the example of the works carried out in the buildings from Stage I - F1, F2, F3, F4) the modernization of the technical infrastructure and the purchase of the necessary equipment for the facility.
The reconstruction of the F1′ building, which constitutes the second stage of the investment, is aimed at improving hospitalization conditions in the hospital for patients and working conditions of staff, as well as adapting them to applicable regulations.
The project does not envisage increasing the number of beds in departments or increasing the number of staff. The reconstruction of the existing five pavilions refers to the current organizational system and does not affect the functional connections of the hospital complex.
Renovation works in departments F9 of the 3rd Psychiatric Clinic and F10 of the 1st Psychiatric Clinic (building F1') have been completed. Currently, purchased medical equipment and furnishings are being installed in the premises
living and administrative-office. Soon (after obtaining the necessary permits), the rooms will be put into use.
