WOOD is a material that can be processed in many ways. Starting from giving the desired shape using abrasion methods, chiseling or bending techniques, ending with steam bending and carving.

CLASSES develop conscious activity, work planning, patience, precision, pace of work and responsibility for the quality of the completed item; participants' social skills are strengthened through group work.

MATERIALS used in the carpentry workshop

• pine wood, whose structure allows it to be subjected to manual techniques
• sandwich board and chipboard, mainly used for construction purposes

Basics of woodworking

• basic knowledge of used hand tools and power tools
• subjecting wooden elements to abrasion and other forms of processing (sawing, drilling, milling, grinding)
  • painting (staining and varnishing)
  • gluing wooden elements;
• Wood joining techniques
  • selection of appropriate fasteners for the type of material (screws, welds, pins)
  • traditional tongue and groove joints;
  • using metal profiles and connectors;
• Picture framing – making wooden frames
  • preparation of frame elements
  • gluing and painting the frame
  • glass cutting
• Getting to know the process of creating furniture
  • learning about the production process of wooden furniture
  • making furniture components
• Wooden decorations - making decorative and occasional elements
• Processing pine and beech wood in the process of preparing ecological toys.

The finished product is educational toys produced using traditional methods.
